What is the difference between Dual Aperture (A2) and Same Plane Aperture (SP)?
The A2 rear sight changes elevation when moved from one aperture to the other. The larger aperture features a 0-2 marking, which refers to the sight being used for 0-200 meters. The smaller aperture is used for longer range (300 meters and beyond) and raises the point of impact.
On SP rear sights, changing from one aperture to the other makes no difference in the elevation, as both apertures are on the "same plane".

Outstanding sights

These sights are far too nice to be considered as mere "back ups." They are rugged and strong, flip into position immediately, and frankly are a great choice for iron sights without any optic. Single plane rear apertures allow switching to the best option depending on stock length, and the curved front sight wings work well with the apertures, making "framing" of the front sight assembly natural and fast.
